Provides leadership to the Wellbeing and Medical Insurance Group.Close to 70 HR activities are run from the HR Shared Services Center in Costa Rica and HQ. The HR Shared Services Center operation in Costa Rica serves the staff and consultants in headquarters and all Country Offices. Provides strategic direction to support the operations of the HR Shared Services Center (HRSC) in Costa Rica to ensure alignment with compensation and benefits policy design and the Human Capital Strategy.Works closely with the Talent Management Division and Budget Division in the annual budget call process that begins with the workforce call exercise. Works with business leaders across the IDB Group, including Country Office representatives, to discuss and address compensation, benefits, performance management, and other HR issues.Leads and oversees the design, management, evaluation, and administration of IDB Group-wide benefit programs, including global mobility benefits and the health and life insurance plans.Briefings and presentations to the Boards of Executive Directors is an integral part of the functions. A summary of specific responsibilities includes leading a team of approximately 25 staff and 20 consultants and managing the operations under specialized firms (includes 65 contractors at the HR Shared Services Center in Costa Rica). The Compensation, Benefits, and HR Services Division Chief reports directly to the HRD Manager and is a member of the HRD Leadership Team, coordinating and collaborating closely with the other Division Chiefs to provide outstanding strategic services to the key stakeholders and business leaders. This includes developing and implementing policies and procedures to support the Bank’s business model and provide for a high performance, motivated workforce.
